WHAT IS WORMHOLE?

A highly speculative idea of modern astrophysics, wormholes are theoretical possibilities allowed within the mathematical framework of Einstein's general theory of relativity. A wormhole is a short-lived portal, lasting only a brief moment, that joins two black holes in different locations. Wormholes could connect two points in the present-day universe or perhaps,in different times. In wormhole theory, matter falling into black hole at one point should emerge through a proposed " white hole "- the reverse of a black hole- at  the other end. Neither wormholes nor any evidence of them has yet been observed. Scientists cannot determined how they would be created, although astrophysicists such as Hawking continue to work on this intriguing notion.

WHAT IS A BRANE?

Mathematics and astrophysicists considering the existence of other universes must delight the possibility of more measurements than the four we know as space-time.The three familiar measurements plus the measurements of time, added by Einstein. In one version of string theory, physicists allow for eleven dimensions, encompass remain unnoticeable "coil up. " The visible universe could be a  four-dimensional membrane,or brane for short, moving  through unseen measurements.Other branes, or parallel universes, may also exists, floating through a fifth dimension that we can not discern. Some scientist propose that our would be universe existed as a brane into which another brane impinge in constant craze, create the heat energy and extension accounted for in the big-bang. But these theories now exist mainly as mathematical models that need much additional examination.

PAPER OR PLASTIC?

Paper or plastic? If you're caught up in the paper versus plastic debate at the grocery store, don't assume that your choice of paper is the more environmentally sound decision. Paper bags use more resources in their production, although they have a greater chance of being recycled and of breaking down when they do make it do the landfill.Plastic bags, which are cheaper to manufacture, create less trash by weight but do not break down.Burning them to create electricity puts heavy metals into the air and toxic ash into solid waste.Today, some stores offer only paper, preferring recyclables.

HOW DO EARTHWORMS HELP THE SOIL?

Some 7000 earthworm species live at all soil depths in most temperate and many tropical environments. They dominate the soil's invertebrate realm. They burrow through soil, aerate it,increase its porosity, and make channels for plant roots.Their biggest contribution. However, is their waste called castings.Worm castings form a major organic component of soil and increase its fertility abundantly.

WHY ARE THERE 360 DEGREES IN A CIRCLE?

A degree is a fraction of circle, and there are 360 degree in a each of the imaginary circles that describe the surface of the earth. The number 360 in this context usually is attributed to the Babylonians, who devised a base  60 number system. They probably were the first to divide a circle into 360 degree(6*60).Some historians think that the base 60 system derives from the approximate length in days of a calendar year, but others claim that the Babylonians probably chose 60 because it is divisible by so many other numbers. Hipparchus, who invented the formal system of latitude and longitude, divided each Earth circle into 360 degrees, each degree having 60 minutes and each minute having 60 seconds.

WEARABLE TECHNOLOGY

Image
Not too long ago it seemed like making a video call from your watch was something out of a James Bond movie. But when Google released wearable products, such as the LG G Watch and Google Glass, the company's goal was to create a "ubiquitous'' computer-an Internet connection that would become part of the person.Advances in wearable tech now allow us to track the number of calories burned in a day via a w ristband or feel an incoming call through vibrations in a peace of jewelry.

Is e-waste is good for future?

Each year, about 40 million metric tons of electronic material comprising of discarded TVs,telephones, computers and other electronic hardware are developed globally.Although e-waste just accounts for 2-percent of the garbage at landfills,it makes up about 70 percent of the harmful heavy metals in these landfills. The items that may be retrieved from e-waste include ingredients,e.g.,plastics,metals and ice.Get's see some important facts and numbers about e-waste usage:In 201, about 41.8 million tons of e-waste was rendered worldwide. This measure included 12.8 million tons of little instrumentation,11.8 million tons of huge equipment,7.0 million tons of temperature change instrumentation,6.3 million tons of screens and monitors,3.0 million lots of tiny IT and 1.0 million lots of lamps. The total of global e-waste production is expected to get a number level of 49.8 million tons in 2018,with the annual 4-5% increase. Since the beginning of 2017,we have thrown out more than 6.4 million ...
